In case anyone is wondering, Max has plenty of food and water available to last him at least a week, and we're going to be gone less than 4 days. The air conditioner is set to keep the house at a comfortably cool temperature. His litter box has been refreshed with clean, extra litter to help him bury his treasures... His toys, boxes and baskets are scattered throughout the house, and I even moved his little "cat condo" atop the kitchen sink so he can watch the birds in comfort. (do I sound guilty for leaving him?.....................:(.........yes.
Max was a little stand-offish when we got home, but quickly allowed us to pet him. Had plenty of food and water left, and a LOT of treasures in the litter box for me to get rid of. So I know he ate well while we were away:)
